1:1Paul，antleofJesusChristbythemandmentofGodourSaviour，andLordJesusChrist，whichisourhope;

1:2UntoTimothy，myownsoninthefaith:Grace，mercy，andpeace，fromGodourFatherandJesusChristourLord.

1:3AsIbesoughttheetoabidestillatEphesus，whenIwentintoMacedonia，thatthoumightestchargesomethattheyteachnootherdoctrine，

1:4Neithergiveheedtofablesandendlessgenealogies，whichministerquestions，ratherthangodlyedifyingwhichisinfaith:sodo.

1:5Nowtheendofthemandmentischarityoutofapureheart，andofagoodconscience，andoffaithunfeigned:

1:6Fromwhichsomehavingswervedhaveturnedasideuntovainjangling;

1:7Desiringtobeteachersofthelaw;understandingneitherwhattheysay，norwhereoftheyaffir

1:8Butweknowthatthelawisgood，ifamanuseitlawfully;

1:9Knowingthis，thatthelawisnotmadeforarighteousman，butforthelawlessanddisobedient，fortheungodlyandforsinners，forunholyandprofane，formurderersoffathersandmurderersofmothers，formanslayers，

1:10Forwhoremongers，forthemthatdefilethemselveswithmankind，formenstealers，forliars，forperjuredpersons，andiftherebeanyotherthingthatiscontrarytosounddoctrine;

1:11AccordingtothegloriousgospeloftheblessedGod，whichwasmittedtomytrust.

1:12AndIthankChristJesusourLord，whohathenabledme，forthathecountedmefaithful，puttingmeintotheministry;

1:13Whowasbeforeablasphemer，andapersecutor，andinjurious:butIobtainedmercy，becauseIdiditignorantlyinunbelief.

1:14AndthegraceofourLordwasexceedingabundantwithfaithandlovewhichisinChristJesus.

1:15Thisisafaithfulsaying，andworthyofallacceptation，thatChristJesuscameintotheworldtosavesinners;ofwhomIamchief.

1:16HowbeitforthiscauseIobtainedmercy，thatinmefirstJesusChristmightshewforthalllongsuffering，forapatterntothemwhichshouldhereafterbelieveonhimtolifeeverlasting.

1:17NowuntotheKingeternal，immortal，invisible，theonlywiseGod，behonourandgloryforeverandever.Amen.

1:18ThischargeImituntothee，sonTimothy，accordingtotheprophecieswhichwentbeforeonthee，thatthoubythemmightestwaragoodwarfare;

1:19Holdingfaith，andagoodconscience;whichsomehavingputawayconcerningfaithhavemadeshipwreck:

1:20OfwhomisHymenaeusandAlexander;whomIhavedelivereduntoSatan，thattheymaylearnnottoblaspheme.

2:1Iexhorttherefore，that，firstofall，supplications，prayers，intercessions，andgivingofthanks，bemadeforallmen;

2:2Forkings，andforallthatareinauthority;thatwemayleadaquietandpeaceablelifeinallgodlinessandhonesty.

2:3ForthisisgoodandacceptableinthesightofGodourSaviour;

2:4Whowillhaveallmentobesaved，andtoeuntotheknowledgeofthetruth.

2:5ForthereisoneGod，andonemediatorbetweenGodandmen，themanChristJesus;

2:6Whogavehimselfaransomforall，tobetestifiedinduetime.

2:7WhereuntoIamordainedapreacher，andantle，（IspeakthetruthinChrist，andlienot;）ateacheroftheGentilesinfaithandverity.

2:8Iwillthereforethatmenprayeverywhere，liftingupholyhands，withoutwrathanddoubting.

2:9Inlikemanneralso，thatwomenadornthemselvesinmodestapparel，withshamefacednessandsobriety;notwithbroidedhair，orgold，orpearls，orcostlyarray;

2:10But（whichbeethwomenprofessinggodliness）withgoodworks.

2:11Letthewomanlearninsilencewithallsubjection.

2:12ButIsuffernotawomantoteach，nortousurpauthorityovertheman，buttobeinsilence.

2:13ForAdamwasfirstformed，thenEve.

2:14AndAdamwasnotdeceived，butthewomanbeingdeceivedwasinthetransgression.

2:15Notwithstandingsheshallbesavedinchildbearing，iftheycontinueinfaithandcharityandholinesswithsobriety.

3:1Thisisatruesaying，Ifamandesiretheofficeofabishop，hedesirethagoodwork.

3:2Abishopthenmustbeblameless，thehusbandofonewife，vigilant，sober，ofgoodbehaviour，giventohospitality，apttoteach;
